The mayor of Osuna presents the digital and intelligent project "Osuna Smart Tourism" at Fitur.

The Mayor of Osuna, Rosario Andújar, accompanied by the Municipal Delegate for Tourism, Jesús Heredia, presented the Osuna Smart Tourism project at Fitur, the International Tourism Fair held in Madrid. She announced that it represents a major step forward for digitalization and smart tourism in our city, using advanced Smart Cities tools that will provide a better and more comprehensive experience for every tourist who visits.

This project has been carried out thanks to Next Generation European Funds, such as the Innova Turismo Project and the Sustainable Tourism Plan received by the Osuna City Council. This will allow, as Rosario Andújar stated, "to move us toward smart tourism."

Regarding this project, the Mayor of Osuna stated that "it is an essential commitment, where the collection and digitalization of data is vitally important, in order to respond to tourism demand objectively and with greater accuracy and guarantees, offering tourists what they are looking for." Rosario Andújar also stated that "thanks to these tools, we will be able to interconnect the urban, artistic, historical, and natural worlds in a sustainable manner."

The mayor of Osuna concluded her speech by announcing, "Although there is still much to do, we are on the right path, as visits to our municipality have increased by 50% in the last year."

For his part, the Municipal Delegate for Tourism, Jesús Heredia, explained that "the Osuna City Council is developing various initiatives, such as tourism promotion and training for key stakeholders, to ensure that tourism becomes one of the most important sectors in our city.

With these initiatives, Osuna is consolidating its position as a benchmark in tourism innovation and sustainability, improving the experience of visitors and residents while promoting a balanced and responsible development model.

The visit to Fitur, an international benchmark both in Europe and around the world and the most important tourism fair in Spain, will also involve various meetings and gatherings with various companies in the tourism sector, especially those creating tourism promotion projects and tour operators, as visitors have a lot to offer, and given the variety of themes it offers, the Ducal Villa.
